Comfortable and Long-lasting
I'm on my third pair of these now, and I absolutely love them. They are very expensive, but before I got these I was going through a pair of boots a year (from other brands) that needed more time to break in and wore down in more uncomfortable ways.
These have never given me a blister, and stay comfortable throughout their lifetimes. I've been using my last pair for about three and a half years, and I use them every single day, all year round for barn chores and all the walking that entails. They're cool enough for 95F heat, and spacious enough for thick socks on 5F winter days. I won't pretend that they stay waterproof for the full time in which I use them, but I also do NO maintenance, so there's a good chance that part of the fault is mine.
In my opinion, they're unfortunately expensive, but they last long enough and are comfortable and practical enough to make up for it!

Not worth the price
I bought these several years ago. Despite gentle use and excellent care, the soles separated from the
boots. They are no longer water proof. I will not be buying another pair of Dubarry's boots

I love the boots but...
I was hard to determine a rating on this product. I have had some frustrating interaction with Dubarry, not Smartpak (in my opinion SP runs a tight ship). I have a pair of the Galways 20 years old with beautiful wear and patina. They were resoled and restored in the UK by a company facilitated by DB about 5 years ago- the price was super reasonable. I bought three pair of these boots because I love them and if you expect to have them for your whole life- being restored every few years, why not. I contacted DB this year because I need another pair restored and they have completely given me the runaround. The company in the UK that was working with /DB won't accept US customers and DB won't recommend anyone in the US to do the work. It's really an unacceptable situation and I received my 3rd pair of boots as a gift a year ago and if I were to do it over I wouldn't have gotten them without having a repair shop in hand. I have to find someone that can do solid repairs on these boots because I have 2 pair I can't wear.
They are beautiful and waterproof and warm- but you need access to a repair shop that can keep them going -if I can't keep them intact and waterproof it's not worth it, that's me. One more point, I have used my oldest pair for riding- they are beautiful- and I use the other pair for overall winter wear- nothing to do with the barn. Lots and lots of use on these boots and I don't mind keeping them going, but now I don't have a resource for that.
If Dubarry still supported the product and facilitated repairs, I would rate these boots a 5 in every way...

Soles fall apart
I bought a pair of Dubarry boots, wore them once, and the soles completely fell apart. When I reached out to Dubarry customer service, they gave me a long explanation about the materials they use and how to store the boots properly (no apology). I also took them to a shoe repair shop. The person there said GIVEN the materials they use the boots’ soles will only ever last a handful of years and will disintegrate - no matter how often used or no matter how stored. So if you want to pay a lot of money for boots with a short shelf life, go ahead and buy Dubarry. I’m going back to Ralph Lauren, whose boots have lasted me 15+ years.

Sole separation on both boots
These boots are several years old but only worn a handful of times (less than 10 times) because I wanted to "save them". Unfortunately, both boots now show the soles separating from the boot. They only have a year guarantee - so now either I have to pay to have them re-soled or throw them away. Unacceptable at the price that was paid.

So disappointing
If you are just standing around or wearing these boots for short periods of time, I'm sure they are fine. But as a trainer and barn manager, these do not hold up. They are not waterproof, and the sole came apart from the rest of the boot. I also bought the cute furry liners and all the products to take care of them properly. Didn't last 6 months, which is unacceptable for the price. They are pretty though.

3rd pair and still in love
These boots are divine! Just received a new pair after my 12 year old sz39 walnut pair soles gave out. These are my go to boots for the barn or for running errands in town. They keep my feet warm and dry in all sorts of weather and look classy. I have both reg fit and slim fit Galaways and both are super comfortable. Simple maintenance can keep them looking good for years of wear making them more affordable in the long run.

bad customer relations and sole wear
I bought these boots about a year ago with the idea they would last me a long time. I am retired and like to buy quality and get good value. I was surprised when after just a few wearings, not hard like barn work but just some walking around, the heals started to wear. I asked the sales man at the Equine Affair in Springfield and he said they should not do that and to email the company in PA. The response was ridiculous, " that is just normal wear and there are no options for heel replacement" is the email I got back. So I have spent a lot of money to buy a pair of boots I can hardly wear for fear they will wear out so I have to be careful not to wear them to much. The boot and the company are a huge disappointment since I have wanted a pair of these boots for years and finally decided to buy them since they appeared to be a good purchase. Nothing is what it seems.

Hallway boots are awesome but I need a half size
I ordered my size loved everything about them except too hard toget on and needed help getting them off soisent them back and got the next size up. They went on easy and off easy but they were a little too tall and the rim around the top hit the back of my knee when I sat down which was uncomfortable. They are so cute! I’ve since found out there are feet cushions you can buy to Put in there to raise your heel a little soi may order them again in the size up and the cushion. I really love the look, quality and feel. I’m a size 8 1/2 with thinner calf’s loved how the 8 Fit but too hard to get on and the 9 fit with room for heavier sockif I wanted but I would need the foot boot cushion to raise my heels tiny bit I wanted these for barn/city boots but they are so cute and pricey that for a while anyway I may steer clear of the barn lol

NOT Durable! Don’t last! Not worth the $$
Don’t buy these if you actually WORK in a barn. I work, everyday, in all conditions and saved to purchase these thinking I was making a worthwhile investment in comfortable, warm, dry feet, which if you work outdoors you know it’s worth it! After a little over a year, they are no longer water proof, the stitching is coming apart and they are ripping at the toes. I cleaned them and took care of them and they still turned out like this. Not made for real work. Maybe they don’t make them how they used to but they are definitely not worth the $!
