Great schooling boots!
I bought these boots to ride in at home and the occasional schooling show. Right out of the box they fit great and looked nice. I ride 5x a week. I like the stretch panel in the back to help give the boot a more custom fit. The leather is almost a pebble style and very comfortable. I’m pretty hard on my boots with the amount of riding I do, so I’m not surprised that I ended up replacing the zipper recently. Other than the zipper the rest of the boot is holding up well and I see myself wearing them for much longer. Great products at an affordable price. They clean up well with leather cleaner and have been very low maintenance.

Great schooling boot!
I bought these boots a year ago. They looked great and were comfortable from the start. I ride 5x a week and was looking for a middle ground boot that would be great for riding at home or the occasional schooling show. They have been exactly what I would expect from a boot at this price. I got the zippers replaced recently but otherwise the boots have been holding up well. Elastic panel on the back make sizing easier and the leather is nice and soft. I haven’t had any issues with the leather wearing thin but I would expect that after long term riding in them.

Wanted to love them
I bought these boots as a backup schooling pair, as my show boots are having zippers replaced and I wanted something for daily riding. Right out of the box I really loved them - soft leather, great slim fit, no need to break in, and a comfortable footbed. However just two rides in two days and the elastic was stretching and sagging, to the point that they looked awful and unwearable. Fortunately SmartPak has allowed me to return them. I don't know if it was just a bad pair, a bad fit, or if this is the nature of the very soft leather and stretchy elastic.

Surprisingly nice
This is my first time ordering this brand of boots.Smartpak, I love ya, but your boots leave a lot to be desired. I wanted something reasonably inexpensive for lessons and regular use. I looked at the reviews here and elsewhere for these and was pleasantly surprised with how nice they are. The fit is true, the seem comfortable and I don’t think are going to require much break-in. I don’t like spending a lot on boots as I tend to beat them up and the arena where I board is super dusty. Only giving 4 stars as I can’t speak for the durability

Good paralanti 'dupe' for light use
I have only ridden in this boot a few times but I am very pleased so far. The product is very true to size and I originally ordered the field boot with a regular calf and they fit perfect but just a little too perfect. I saw the stretching and breaking in causing them to have lots of gapping and wrinkles in the future, so I ordered the belmont dress boots in a slim calf and they fit very snug which is what I was looking for. I do not think its a good idea to wear them around the barn for barn chores and I do not think they have a supportive enough insole (without adding one) for someone like a professional to ride 3+ horses a day in them. For my uses I think they will be great. The only disappointment is they come with inflatable boot trees which both had holes in them, shucks.

So, so comfortable - but not built to last
I loved how comfortable these boots were from the get-go, and how they conformed to my skinny ankles; I could never find a form-fitting pair because my calves are regular but ankles are slim-xslim. No rubs, and boots looked great - although, left boot had a bit of extra material over left foot, so if you looked closely, it was slightly different to the right. I had ordered a different pair and found the same thing, so I don't think it was a one-off production issue. Still, super comfy.
But.
As said by other customers, zipper line starts separating from the boots fairly early on as does sole; got these fixed by a cobbler and got just about 2 years total with them before the zippers kept splitting open and being just about impossible to re-zip.
All this said, I would totally recommend these to someone who rides 1-2x a week or at least has just one horse. I am a professional and was riding around 5 horses a day in these + walking around in them all over the place.

Great until about 2 months in :(
These were super comfortable, the leather was soft and the back panel has stretch so the boots have a slim, fashionable look. However, I got these in February, and only about two months in the back leather is separating from the zipper (It appears to be glued) and the sole is also separating. They are very comfortable and still able to be used, but the zipper is super visible now that the back is popping up. Will try to take to a cobbler to get fixed. Maybe this is just me/a quality control issue, but I really wish they'd have made it longer before I had issues because I do love them and they're quite comfortable!

Zipper failure
I bought these in May 2020. The zipper split open nearly every ride from the second I started wearing them. I am now trying to figure out if I ever want to risk buying this affordable Tuffrider brand again in any manifestation or just save my money. It is too bad because the boot itself was quite comfortable in the foot part and that is not easy to find.

Perfect for schooling and shows!
I bought these boots a couple of months ago and I love them! They’ve been easy to break in and so soft! I love how flexible they are in the ankle, and the elastic panel along the zipper makes for a nice fit. I do wish the zipper was a bit more heavy duty, but so far I haven’t had any problems with it.

Hidden Gem!
I purchased these (not at Smartpak) almost 3 years ago. I ride in them daily. I was looking for a pair of tall boots that weren't so stiff and these are PERFECT. The leather is very soft with NO break-in time...really, I rode comfortably in them the first day. I also haven't had an issue with durability... there is some smoothness on the inside calf but no real wear and tear. These boots are also beautiful... they look like a pair of parlanti boots when they're on. I genuinely cannot say enough good things about these... and the cost was less than a pair of paddock boots and half chaps. My only complaint is that after 3 years of use, the treads on the sole have worn away and are very smooth, but that seems reasonable to me for how much I've worn them.
