To ensure your Tipperary body protector offers the optimum level of protection, it is important
that it fits correctly.
What you Need:
- A soft fabric measure tape with inches or centimeters. Don’t have one? You can download
and make your own here. All you need is a pair of scissors and clear tape. - A friend to help.
- Wear a T-shirt.
How to Measure:
- This vest requires measurements of the chest,
waist and spine. Remember, the Competitor vest
is designed to be adjustable. - Chest: Under the arms at the widest part
across the chest. - Waist: At natural waist.
- Spine: Measure from the base of the neck
to where your belt would sit. - Note that the “long” version of the vest adds
approximately 2” or 5cm to the FRONT of the vest.
Note this vest is NOT designed to cover the tailbone.
Putting on Your Vest:
- Each time you put on your Competitor vest,
make sure all the Velcro® straps at the sides are
loose to prevent undue stress on the zipper. - Make sure the zipper is seated well and do it up.
- Adjust the straps to ensure a snug fit.
