Rated 2 out of 5 by kimp from Only one Although this is advertised as "Tie-Safe Ties" it only comes with one cross-tie. When I called to ask if I'd gotten only one by mistake, the rep on the phone was as surprised as me to learn it's only one tie you're buying here. Really wish this had been advertised/listed more accurately as I would not have purchased just one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kaitlin from Great for well trained horses I love this product and have both the cross ties and the trailer ties. The breakaway feature is excellent and makes it easy to catch them after they break loose. However, the velcro does come apart fairly easily (much easier than a leather halter would break, for example). My well behaved horses never test them, but I do have one problem child who learned very quickly how easily they break. He rips them off immediately on purpose. So, you might need a set of regular cross ties as well as these if you have a naughty horse.

My horses are fairly calm but they may have broken free once or twice in that whole time. I put the snap end on the halter. When the horse breaks free you still have a small piece you can grab but not a long piece dangling down to frighten the horse more. They are pretty stout so they don’t break away too easily which keeps a horse from learning they can get away by pulling back.

I like the idea of the velcro release, although we haven't had a horse pull back in the trailer. These new ties are a good length of our 3 horse slant.

I find them very safe and have never had an issue with them breaking away in the wrong place, the Velcro did what it was ment to do. Only buying new because I left them behind at the last place, so her horses would be safe!
