Works for shimming western Thinline pad fine….
Haven’t used it yet due to weather, but I already have a set that I use. Needed another set for another pad my son bought me for Xmas. I gave it four stars due to it being pretty darn expensive for manufactured foam tiny pieces. Also, most shim pads come with shim pads included and they are already cut for you! If you need only front, back or middle shimmed you have to cut the foam up yourself. If you cut it wrong well your out of the money spent!

Worked so far….
I am having a hard time fitting my Arabian Mare with a western saddle. Bought several very expensive saddles that seemed to fit, but a couple months later she would put up a fit. Trying to rear, kicking out and even bucking. I tried very expensive pads to help due to her higher neck set and higher withers coupled with a very short back that made saddles bridge. She has a slight dip in her back due to that higher head set with higher withers. Finally a Mattes shim sheepskin worked for a while, but then she started up again. I have a Thinline western shim pad with a thin cotton type lining under it. I ordered these shims due to the pad not coming with shims which I think is stupid. Other shim pads come included with shims. Tried that combination out with shims in for the bridging and wow she is happy again. Even a Arabian saddle didn’t work on her, but a Phil Harris - Lynn Palm saddle did, but didn’t special shimming to tweak some areas on her back. Will have to see how happy she stays with our future rides, but this pad is working being thinner with shims.
