Go green for turnout with the sustainable SmartPak Deluxe Turnout Sheet with Earth Friendly Material. The tough 1200D ripstop exterior is made of RePET®, a fabric created from recycled plastic. Each sheet saves approximately 315 water bottles from going into a landfill! The sheet still has all the features and dependability you know and love about Deluxe turnouts, with the added bonus of being better for the environment. Its uncompromising quality and construction include breathable waterproofing to keep your horse warm, dry, and protected, silky nylon lining that's smooth against his coat, comfortable fleece padding at the withers, generous shoulder gussets for freedom of movement, and a roomy tail flap. Quick-clip front closures make taking this sheet on and off a breeze, and combined with cross-belly surcingles and nylon/elastic leg straps, provide a secure, adjustable fit.

No longer water proof
Received this under six months ago with the promotion of buy one get one. So glad I got it on sale as it’s no longer water proof. Horse came in yesterday after morning turnout in a light rain and was completely wet underneath the blanket. Other than that the blanket is nice.

The best blanket!
This blanket has superseded all my expectations! My guy is a 17.1h Oldenburg and the 84 fit him perfectly. I live in California and this year (2022-23) we have had 11+ atmospheric river storms with up to 2" of rain per day and wind up to 60 MPH. My horse LOVES to stand in the rain. I don't have to worry when it comes to this blanket. He has stayed dry and cozy even in the worst of storms. I also have the neck piece and it stays in place and protects him from having the rain go down his shoulders. I can't state enough how amazing this blanket is! I love it so much, I bought two!!

well made sheet
I bought this sheet to compare to the Smartpak Ultimate sheet, and I was hoping it would be a little lighter weight. I think it is a little lighter, which is preferred for my winter-coated horse. I am not thrilled with the design of the tail flap. It is sewn all the way down on the sides, and I find that my horse cannot lift his tail high enough to prevent getting manure on the back flap of the sheet.

Overall Very Good Sheet
I bought this sheet as a test to see how it would hold up compared to other blankets I have used. Upon opening the packaging and pulling it out, I was super impressed with the appearance – I got black with a gray trim. The reflective piping is also very helpful and works well. The Velcro on the front is a lot more sturdy (and thick) than blankets I have owned in the past, and the stomach and back straps are the typical ones you find on most blankets.The chest has 2 clasps instead of buckles, which I much prefer for easy on and off.
My 12 year old saddlebred stud wears this sheet, and has definitely put it to the test in regards to how sturdy it is and how clean it stays.
He can be a little bit of a wild man, and definitely rolls heavily in this sheet. So far I would give this sheet a great rating for sturdiness. I was also super surprised that even when the sheet is rolled in, a quick hard brush or shake off can get it looking almost brand new again. It has not been a very long time since I have owned and used this sheet, but so far, I am very impressed; and I am also very happy it is made of eco-friendly material!

Great Turnout Sheet
My horse Indy can be pretty tough on his blankets, but this turnout has held up great to him rolling and romping around in the mud and snow. In the winter I typically use this as an added layer over a stable blanket or medium, but it’s also a great option for using on its own during the more mild cold. It’s definitely been put to the test this season with all the rain and snow we have gotten in New England, but its waterproofing has held up great! The should gussets are very generous and allow for great freedom of movement and no rubs. The quick-clip closures make it super easy for myself and the barn staff to take on and off. As an added bonus it’s made from recycled materials and saves 315 water bottles from going to a landfill, so I can feel really good about using it.
Indy is a 16hh Dutch Warmblood, on a bit of the chunkier side, and I got him a size 78 in this blanket and it fits him perfectly. To care for this blanket on a regular basis I just brush it off with a stiff brush to get all the excess mud and dirt off.
