Rated 1 out of 5 by Wilma from Not good enough The leather cracked before I even put it on the horse. I bent the noseband and it cracked about halfway through the leather. I wasn't looking for high quality, just an inexpensive turn out halter. This has no chance of lasting, so I am returning it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Arzny from Very Cheap, Poor Workmanship I received this halter as a gift and it is very cheap quality. The leather is plastic like and not supple or soft. I did not even take it out of the bag, so I cannot speak to how well it holds up to use. The halter was not oiled and had mold like spotting on the rough side of the halter. Returned immediately. You can get a much nicer halter for the same amount of money - don't waste your time or money on this halter.

I love the double buckle crown piece that allows for greater adjustability and ensures I can replace the crown piece if I ever need to. The solid brass hardware is even better quality than I was expecting! I find this halter fits true to size and I ordered a cob size for my Thoroughbred. Best of all, this halter is available at an unbeatable price! This halter would also be great for anyone looking for a leather halter to use during turnout, to be stored outside around the barn, or to have an economical halter to use as a backup.

For the price, the leather is immaculately soft. The stitching is minimal, which is a plus for me - less easy to break! The hardware is a beautiful brass and feels secure. I bought the cob size for my Morgan and it fit beautifully. This halter is wonderfully adjustable. A great buy!

Rated 1 out of 5 by DuckDuckGoose from Falling apart, don’t waste your money! It split on the holes on both sides of the crown piece within the first week. Finally broke today after only a few months. The leather is also starting to split on several of the joints where it’s folded over so buying a new crown piece is pointless. Don’t waste your money on the name plates either, both of the ones I purchased were rusting around the letters after a month :(

This halter was used to walk my horse to a pasture, taken off and put back on a stall & to groom in the cross ties. It fit her comfortable, and frankly it didn't have heavy use on it. However, after 9 months of usage, my fiancé was walking my mare and the throat latch just completely fell apart. Nothing was caught on the halter- she didn't spook- its almost like a ghost cut the throat latch off. Really stunned us. I would save your money and buy something more high quality.
