Winter Weather Must Have!
I bought two pairs of these breeches over a year ago, loved them for my winter barn work/riding so this year bought two more! Very comfortable fleece lining helped me stay warm and was not itchy; outer shell does a good job repelling water so when I was walking through snow/rain/icy mix between buildings I stayed dry. Full Seat is grippy enough to give you a little stick to your saddle but doesn't lock you in place. Most breeches brands I am at least a 32 if not a 34, but these I am a 30, so keep in mind that you might want to size down.

Weird Fit
I bought these for riding in an indoor in upstate NY in the winter. We are routinely below zero and we need something to keep us warm. I can say that when I was wearing these I didn't feel cold once I got riding. Unfortunately once you are in the saddle they aren't very comfortable. The way the seat is on the pants make them ride up very awkwardly in the front crotch area. I found them to be very uncomfortable. I have worn them twice, and will not wear them again. The only reason I wore them a second time was to make sure the first ride wasn't a fluke. I really wanted to love these but I don't. I would return them if I could, but I took the tags off them before riding in them.

New favorite cold weather breeches
I never have been able to buy SmartPak brand clothing because it never fit me right. I tried over and over again but everything was either too tight in the legs/fine in the waist, or fit in the legs/huge in the waist. I decided to give it one more try once I read some other reviewers mentioning that these breeches fit them when others hadn't. I'm so glad to find a pair of SmartPak breeches that finally work for us non-pencil girls! These fit great (even without a belt!), are soft and warm and I love the material. They are very flattering. My non-horsey aunt saw me wearing them and commented how cute they were and how she loved the "little horsey" on the back! haha (The smartpak logo). Because the full seat is suede, they aren't as "sticky" as some of the other silicone pattern breeches I've worn. The silicone is sticky but then you run the risk of it rubbing off eventually.... So pros and cons.... For me personally, the suede seat doesn't bother me too much as I'm mostly using them with flatwork/dressage and don't need a ton of stick. However it might be something to consider depending on what you are needing them for. When I first put them on they felt a little stiff (almost like the "crotch" was too low) but I have worn them a few times now and they've stretched nicely and are so comfy! I hope SmartPak gets some more gear with this type of fit because I would love to be able to buy more of their products! I can't speak for durability yet, as I haven't worn them more than a few times yet, but they seem to be good quality so far. Oh...I should mention that the sizing runs a little big. I normally wear 32 in other brands and got a 30 and they fit great! Great job SmartPak!

Rear fit is weird between the full seat and the winter fabric.

Poor fit.
I always wants a pair of these and they were finally on sale in my size. I am 5'1", 120 lbs, and usually wear a 28R or 30R, but reviews said it ran small so I ordered a 26L. Length and waist were perfect. Thighs were way too baggy. Knees were better, but still not fitting as they should so I knew my boots would cause material to bunch there. Calves were ok, but I was never fitting all that material into high boots. Ankles were perfect. This was made well, probably would have been perfect for winter, but just a super odd fit. And I would not see a tall person fitting in these if I liked the long. Sadly, had to return.

Warm winter breeches
I was looking for warm breeches for riding that would take me through the working in the barn part. These are warm, stretchy, dirt brushes off, and have a good fit. The charcoal grey is super. Plenty of deep pockets.

Final sale items can not be returned: darn
I measured myself twice and used comments to size down and these breeches are large I pants myself. Piper has no idea how to fit people larger than a size 6. My mistake for buying this sales item and not questioning Why so many were available to purchase. I love smart pak, but goodness, i thought this sizing issue was fixed. Nope. And now i cant return it.

Sizing inconsistent, but very nice
I bought a pair of these to replace the layering I was having to do in winter. I have NEVER been able to find breeches that fit me without trying on 20 different pairs first (chronic gap-waist problem!), so I was certain I was going to be sending these back, but to my delight, they fit perfectly! I was so excited that I ordered a second pair. Unfortunately, the second pair did not fit as well as the first, that discrepancy is the only reason for the star deduction. The lower bit fit well but the waist was much tighter (an unusual problem for me actually). They do stretch out a little with wear, so I decided to keep them. They are otherwise very comfortable and wear well.

Soft and warm
These are so snuggly on a cold riding day. Very comfortable fabric, but warning, the fabric does stretch a bit too much. Dirt and hay roll off nicely.

Warm and comfy!
These britches are well made and warm! They fit me perfectly but my only complaint is you have to wear a belt to keep them up. Materials are not bulky and not restrictive whatsoever.
