Not a good fit
My daughter and I wear the same size (28) and she's been borrowing my breeches....we decided to buy her some of her own Piper Breeches. I have the 28 full seat and she wanted to have the knee patch. When they arrived it seemed like they were two sizes too big. Super baggy at the waist and fit more like jodhpurs. Personally, I don't even like the ones that do fit, they're too thick and bulky...not stretchy like my favorites.

Excellent quality!
I bought these for my daughter to show in IHSA shows...they are super comfortable and excellent quality. The price is reasonable for high quality breeches, they shed dirt and water, and they will look great in the ring. They do shrink a bit, which was fine since she is small waisted (ah, I remember those times!). She liked these so much better than the Hadley's, I went back and bought a second pair.

Fits great, super comfortable.
These breeches are super quality for the price. Well made, great pockets, stretchy comfortable material. The breeches do run large, I ended up with a size smaller than I would have in Ariat breeches (I wear 36L in Ariat, 34L in the Piper brand). My only complaint is kindy picky - these breeches are really too heavy for the hot summers here in North Carolina. But they will be my go to breech for fall, spring and warm winter days.

High-Waist a No Go
I love my pair of regular piper Evolution breeches and clearly didnt pay enough attention when i bought or tried this pair on. The fit is obviously completely different, super gappy at the waist and weirdly tight on my knees. I'm bummed because I didn't notice they weren't the same until I rode in them but unfortunately I don't think I can make them work. A pity, and definitely on me but just a warning for everyone to read the description!

not good for sumner
i bought these for summer riding and tried them on an 80 degree day. I felt like I was wearing a plastic bag; there was no breathability.
I bought these for summer riding. I tried them on an 80 degree day and it felt like I was wearing a plastic bag as there was no breathability. I was so hot in them, it was like a 95 degree day, instead of 80 degrees.

FANTASTIC Breeches, Especially for the Price
I have a few pairs of the original Smartpak Pipers and they're okay. They pill in weird ways and all but one pair are always falling down without a belt. Over the last couple years, I've invested in a number of more expensive brands and gravitated to those for daily use.
That is, until Smartpak came out with the Piper Evolutions! I freaking love these breeches. They fit perfectly, the fabric is amazing, they're easy to care for, and they look freaking fantastic on. I actually think I like them better than my fancy "high end" ones, if we're being honest. :) Highly recommend these, especially for the price. My only wish is that they make the knee patch in more "show" colors like white!

Amazing! Please make in more colors!
I’ve been a piper fan for years now, but always had some qualms with the fit and fabric of the OG style. The fabric on those was so thick, and the rise too low (even mid-rise felt like they constantly were falling down).
These evolution high rise options fix all those issues and then some. The fabric is incredible. Feels like a breech/tight hybrid. Definitely light enough for TX summer mornings. The stretch is great too! So comfy! Then there’s the rise: it’s perfect for my 30-something body. So flattering and the first pair of pipers where I don’t feel like I MUST wear a belt.
Haven’t yet washed but they feel just as durable as the OG style which lasted me 5 years.
Please please please make the high rise style available in fun colors too!! The adult ammy community will thank you.
