Awkward and huge
Although a very experienced rider, I’m very new to hunter jumping which has been so rough on my knees. The profile is that I am a 49-year-old woman with an ACL repair in both knees. I’m a retired Russian Trained ballet dancer which didn’t help much regarding my knee wear and tear. I’m also very athletic and fit and weigh 127 and am 5’5 1/2 tall. This particular stirrup model was awkward and bulky! I wear a size 9 shoe so I don’t have a tiny petite foot! Even my instructor thought the stirrups looked huge and they’re long as well. They will be a better fit for someone doing dressage. For jumping no way! I am sending them back and I ordered another model by the same brand that seems to be fitting a little bit better! It still has a lot of flex.

Game changer! Found my balance
I avoided putting weight into my right stirrup due to foot and ankle injuries and pain. These stirrups have brought the joy back into riding! I have not had an impact like from a new piece of tack!

Pain Free!
I purchased these stirrups in the beginning of this year and have never looked back! I have always experienced pain in and out of the saddle, primarily in my ankles and knees. These stirrups have changed the way I ride due to their wonderful give, allowing me to ride pain free for the first time! These stirrups are perfect for jumping, especially because the design lets me truly use my leg freely. The Herm Sprenger stirrups not only improve my riding and the way I feel, but they also look very professional and neat!

Safety is first priority
The flexible platform of these stirrups adds an extra bit of safety, a nice addition. The stirrups fit well for a 17 hand horse and a nearly 6' rider, the look is a little chunky. I like the stirrups, if I had a light horse it might be different.
