I love these!
I have these all over my barn and on gate posts at the pastures. I love that they bend if a horse or human runs into them. They do hold a heavy leather halter, lead rope, and a halter with a grazing muzzle, but likely not more than that- probably not a bad thing, it makes me keep the "stuff" on the stall fronts to a minimum! I'm impressed that the hooks that are on the gate posts are holding up well in the weather/sun.

Durable and safe!
I use these on the horses' stalls, out next to the pastures, and in the tack room. Safe and durable and easy to install.

Love them
I have always been leery about hooks on the outside of stalls ever since we had a horse catch his should and tear it open on a latch. These are prefect! We mounted them to the front of the stall to hold their halter and lead. I can walk my horses by and feel confident that they will be safe. So glad I found these!

Can't hold anything heavier than a lead rope
Bought this product because it would be safe around horses. Great Idea but it needs to be able to hold thinks up.

excellent hook - for the right situation
I have used these flexible hooks for years, but they aren't right for everything. They are FLEXIBLE, designed for safety and not designed for hanging heavy items or leaving medium weight items on them for long periods of time. For that I use a rigid hook inside a protected framework so the horses can't access or hit themselves on it in the aisle.
I love the flex-hook hangers on the fence post at the turnout for holding a lead rope and/or halter. I have had them there for 4 or more years and they are fine as long as you only hang 1 or 2 items on each.
The best thing is even if a horse rubs their face on these hooks they won't get hurt!

Lose their shape over time
I put one of these next to each stall for halters. In retrospect, I'm not sure why I did because a barn I used to board at used them and they were all stretched out and not very hook-like anymore. These are okay for a single halter and lead rope, but if your horse has a grazing muzzle, for example, they sag. They also cause the leather to weaken over time where it hangs over the hook, because they're so narrow.
I will eventually replace them with bridle brackets. Brackets really don't stick out far enough into the aisle or have sharp enough edges for me to worry about using them. They also help halters hold their shape and prevent stress on the leather from hanging. A $5 bracket should last pretty much forever, whereas these $9 hooks will need replacing every few years.

Perfect hooks!
These are perfect for my tack room and for the stall door! If a horse runs into it, it just bends and nothing is damaged, and the horse is fine! Much better than those nails sticking out everywhere to hold halaters and leads!
