Comfy if you size down and add heel grip.
Hoping these will work! Went to a local tack store to try on boots, and these were the best option we came up with. I'm normally a women's 11. I struck out with Ariat as their toe beds are too small, and they don't go larger. Tack store had no 11s of any style in, and no mens options to try either. They told me these typically run a size and a half big so I said perfect, let's give them a try. I ended up getting the 10s. With my thick wool socks, and some gel band grips around my ankles to stop the heel slide, these were the best option I've found of anything so far. Haven't ridden in them or worn them to the barn yet, but they seem comfy. We will see how they break in, but cautiously optimistic.

Seem to be holding up well!
Like everyone else says: size down! I normally wear a 9.5 or 10, but an 8.5 fits perfectly. With that out of the way: these boots are holding up. I wear them to the barn, for both chores and riding, for walking the dog, to class, to work, everything. They're not 100% waterproof anymore, but I also haven't cleaned or conditioned them since I bought them almost a year ago, and they were waterproof when I purchased. The one mark against them is that the inner lining is coming apart, though honestly I've yet to find a pair of boots where the lining doesn't shred sooner or later. All in all, they're good quality for the price and I anticipate them holding up for a while yet.

Horrible Quality
Extremely comfortable be VERY poor quality. Upper is completely separated from sole. Absolutely not worth the price.

Once upon a time it was wonderful!
At the writing of this review, I've gone through four exchanges over this boot. My old Dublins of 10+ years have finally worn out, and I've been so happy with their comfort, quality, and reliability, I wanted to replace them with the same thing. So, it pains me to write a bad review now.
The boot runs really big, so a 7.5 sized foot required a size 6 in order to get close to fitting right (that was return #1). Then, the replacement boot was not waterproof, and within 45 minutes of barn chores in wet weather, both of my feet were wet and clammy. That was return #2. THEN another size 6 came...and the boot was too big! By a good half an inch difference from the previous size 6 boot. Either the wrong label was sewn into the boot at the factory, or the quality control of these boots is just really poor. Either way, the boots didn't fit (being too roomy), and had to go back. Return #3. At this point, loyalty still hadn't run out, and I ordered a fourth trial pair, but this time with two other brands for comparison. And I found another brand that fit better (truly snug, with the promise of a good fit after the leather relaxes). So, with sadness in my heart, I made return #4 of these Dublins, and kept the other brand.
All I can conclude, is that these boots aren't nearly as well made or high quality as they once were. My Dublins of 2012 were outstanding, but today they all seem to be average at best. (and all throughout this saga, SmartPak customer service has been super and supportive).

Sizing is Way Off
I want to love these boots. They are SO cute, go with everything, and seem durable. However, the sizing is so ridiculously skewed it was a nightmare to order these. I am typically a 9/10 in boots-originally got a 9 in these, exchanged for an 8 and they still slip and slide. I could easily get a 7 but don't want to go through the exchange process again. So frustrating and I truly don't understand how they can be two FULL SIZES off.

I Love My Boots!
I needed a sturdy boot that I could do barn chores in and I found it! The Dublin Venturer Boots are perfect for every day around the barn. They are very comfy and durable! They are pretty easy to care for. To make sure I keep the longevity of these, and all my boots, I condition them about once a month. They do run a bit large, I am typically an 8 or 7.5 and ordered a 7.5. I have plenty of room in them, I could go down to a 7 but I like leaving room for winter socks! Overall the boots are very comfortable and perfect for everyday wear!

Great boots, strangest sizing...
It took me three different orders to finally get the sizing of these boots figured out. I really loved the quality for the price and was determined to get the right fit. I'm usually an 8, sometimes an 8.5 in boots, and I had to go down to a 6.5 before they felt comfortable. I've worn them over the past few weeks and they've been amazing - comfortable right off the bat, no blisters, feet are cool in the heat, and have withstood multiple baths and rainstorms so would say they're water resistant / maybe even waterproof. If you have the patience to find your size, these are worth it! Shout out to Smartpak's great returns policy

Terrible sizing
I normally wear a 8.5 shoe, very consistently. So ordered an 8.5, but those were too large. So then exchanged for a 7.5. Those are still too big. I don't know how the company decided on sizing for these. I'll be returning them, it's not worth the trouble trying to figure out this sizing.
