runs a bit big and laces aren't real
These just arrived, I ordered an 8 because the last pair of Dublin boots that I ordered in 7.5 were too small (and they were out of 7.5 in this style.) I'm afraid the 8's are a little too big, they are long in the toe, so I must be between sizes on Dublin. IFor reference I wear 7.5 in dress shoes and 8 in running shoes. Too bad because the boot itself is great, the footbed is SUPER comfortable, and the quality looks good. Sturdy and comfortable and seem well made.
One note - the laces don't lace like a regular shoe. it is a single, elastic shoelace that is woven through the holes and it comes pre-set at more or less the tightest setting (with some give due to the elastic.) You can't really adjust them or tie a bow or anything. So this is basically a zip paddock boot w/ fake laces on the front. The fit is snug in the ankle which is good for me because I have really small ankles, but I wish I could adjust the laces to get the fit just right, since that's the point of having laces in the first place.
I'm going to order the non-laced zip-up pair in 7.5 and see how those fit.
