LOVE this saddle
I purchased this saddle about 6 months ago after working with a saddle fitter and trying a bunch of high end saddles. It's so comfortable, it's like riding in a couch. But it's supportive and puts me in a great position. My horse goes well in it too; it accommodates her big shoulder. It's easily adjusted by a fitter. At this point, it has broken in well but still looks brand new. The leather in the seat, panels, and knee pads is very soft but durable. The leather on the flaps is firmer but pliable and seems like it will wear forever. I couldn't be happier.

Perfect fit
This was saddle #3 for my OTTB and finally a winner! Nice grippy leather. Good clearance for his high withers and big shoulders. Especially love the trial period with free shipping offered by Smart-Pak.

Signature Steffen Advantage vs. Custom Advantage
I've recently had the opportunity to try both of these saddles from Custom Saddlery and wanted to share, since there seems to be some confusion about whether or not these are the same (I was super confused until I rode in both of them). I tried and am buying a used Custom Advantage in buffalo. It's a magic saddle! Sticky in the right way, comfortable and open seat, and lots of room for my horse's shoulders. The Signature Steffen Advantage is a similar but different saddle. Both are monoflaps, have gusseted panels, soft flocking and feel balanced. The leather quality on the Steffen is definitely lower than the Custom Advantage and on par with other mid- to lower-range off-the rack saddles, although the Steffen actually seems a bit more refined in it's construction (I find the Custom Advantage's leather work a bit crude, especially compared to Voltaire, Devecoux and Amerigo). The two fit my horse a bit differently, too, with the Steffen bridging a bit. Also, I prefer a wider twist, and the Steffen is a bit narrower--some might prefer the narrow. Had I tried just the Steffen, I would have thought it was fine any may have purchased it, but riding in the Custom Advantage was love at first sit, and I feel fortunate to have found a used one.
