Why did I wait so long to order new boots!?
These are FABULOUS!!! I had Dublin River boots before these. The lining had ripped about a year in and they were such a pain to get on and off. Finally I decided it was time and thought I'd give the Ada boots a try. OMG, wonderful! They're easy to get on and off, so warm, great color selection and nice looking. I'm just wondering why it took me 5 years to finally order them?!

Comfortable and functional
So comfortable, I can wear them all day. Enough tread that I am not slipping and sliding in the snow, but nice for riding too.
Only negative is that I can not keep the darn string tied, which I solved by simply leaving it untied.

Comfy!
I traded my Dublins for these—much more comfortable! Not quite as “sturdy” in the sole though and I’m not sure they’ll be as water tight but worth the price. The dublins were sized oddly and were giving me horrible toe pain. These eliminate it—give them a shot if you haven’t had luck with other brands.

Nice Boots!
This is the 4th pair of Ada boots I've purchased. It's hard to find country boots in black. These boots were comfortable out of the box, no breaking in required. I found they run smaller than the other styles. I wear an 8-1/2 and the 39s usually fit, but I had to exchange these for a 40. They're a little loose in the heel, but wool socks fixed that. I don't plan on riding in these boots, as the thick sole is a little clunky. However the boots aren't heavy. I have the shorter boots, and the dirt and mud brushes off the suede part easily. I highly recommend Ada boots. As you can see they're cat approved as well!

Long lasting great boots
I wear these boots every day in the fall/winter. I do barn chores, ride in them and teach in them, so I'm wearing them for 12+ hours per day. They've held up remarkably well, going on almost 2 years now. I have replaced the insoles with ariat insoles 2x now but thats because I wear them all the time. They take some abuse and are pretty easy to clean- I just hose them down and then wipe with a sponge or towel. Sometimes I put some leather conditioner on them if I want them to look really spiffy. They are waterproof all the way up which is fantastic in snow and puddles. Wide enough to wear thick socks in the winter but not too wide to be uncomfortable with normal socks.

Value as Expected
I needed a casual winter boot but didn’t want to pay some of the high prices of the popular brands and so far I have been happy with the quality for the reasonable price

Comfy footbed! / Slightly wider than Dublins
I have worn these boots for 3 weeks now. I had ordered Dublins before and was surprised at how uncomfortable they were for my feet. Had to return them because they were narrow. These Smartpack boots run a tad wider in the foot (but not substantially so) and the footbed is super comfortable. I have not had it move around or come out as some other reviewers have complained. I usually wear an 8 1/2 and I ordered a 9 (the Dublin boots I returned were also size 9.) They are great for riding or hitting the supermarket. The leather is already breaking in nicely and I can tell it is made from quality materials. I’m really happy with this purchase so far.

Loved the short Ada's, love these too!
I bought the slip on paddock Ada's last year and absolutely adore them, so figured I'd also love these river boots. I was right, so comfy, so warm, perfect for running errands before/after the barn. I've cleaned buckets and bathed horses in them and so far they seem to be holding up well. Love the classic river boot look too.

Gorgeous well made high quality country boots
These are well beyond my expectations; so pretty and foot bed feels comfortable. Nice looking boots! I returned them right away as they did not fit me. Otherwise, I would have kept them in the lovely black and bought the brown ones, too. I wear a 9 in Ariat tall boots and paddock boots, ordered the 40 in this boot and it was not as wide in toe box or ball of foot as Ariats... too narrow for me.

Puddle tested
I've worn these for just part of a wet season so far, so I can't speak for how long they'll hold up. For the last month I've worn them a lot, with the most recent test being the farm after a flash flood. For the past week, they have kept me dry walking through mid-calf-deep disgusting puddles of boot sucking mud. They are also pretty comfy, and I love the way they look. I wear and 8.5 in Ariat, and the 40 fits well. My foot is quite narrow, and they stay on fine. My foot does slide forward a tiny bit, but it's a rare shoe that this doesn't happen. A+ boot!
