Short skirt (yay); full QH tree is pretty generous
Bought this as a test-ride after _years_ and a dozen leather saddles -- treed and treeless, priced $300-$5000-- for a mature, short-backed, mutton-withered working stock-horse. The skirt is, finally, short enough for our stock-horse, and with carefully placed shims (5-star) it doesn't 'bite' her at the shoulders/withers. The best roping saddles can be a better fit, but have proven to be a bit too long-skirted, heavy and harder to clean for non-roping rides. Full QH tree is generous for most stock-horses, and although the gullet also fits our draft horse, the tree itself isn't wide/flat enough for our draft horse, if that helps our colleagues out there struggling to fit very wide/big horses. Wintec does fit a lot of horses and are easy to clean! Replace the stirrups that come with it; they are cheap.

Very Disappointed
I should have done the test saddle option. Now I’m stuck with a super stiff and uncomfortable saddle that is WAY too wide for my typical build QH. Plus the fenders do not adjust properly for shorter people

Disappointing
Very disappointed with stirrup adjustment design; you can only go so far up to shorten stirrup because fender limits this, even though there are many more holes higher up on the strap which are useless. I am @ 5’3 & 1/2 & stirrup was way too long at highest I could go. Plus the keeper strap right above stirrup is way too short... had to struggle just to get it to first hole. Unfortunately, this saddle is not a good choice for short people. Only 1 star as it was a fairly comfortable seat.

Surprisingly comfy
Health issues necessitated I find a lighter saddle. Having ridden Wintec english saddles, I settled on the Wintec Western. Boy, am I glad I did. The seat is super comfy and it fits my Plantation Walker to a T. Very well made. Do not let the full quarter horse bar sizing throw you. Unlike other makers, Wintec's full quarter horse bar only means it is a wide tree. And I can toss it up on my big guy with ease!

A keeper!
Tried 16" test saddle first but had to exchange for 15" as I am petite. Seat is super cushy, fit my foundation QH mare great, very easy to adjust stirrups, wiped clean nicely and so light that I could carry with one hand by horn. Only drawback was fenders were on shortest notch for my 5'4 height and a little stiff in stirrup area which I felt after a 2 hour ride, but I think will break in with time. Overall a keeper especially since I'm in my 50s with s senior horse and need a light saddle that's easier to care for than heavy leather.

Just what I thought I was getting
I have a 16.1 hand thorobread gelding that was hard to find a saddle for. He has high withers and a wide rib cage. I tried many saddles when a friend suggested I try a Wintec saddle. I read the reviews and decided to go for it. I'm happy that I did. It fits my horse great and it's light weight. I've already recommened this saddle to two other friends out at the barn. My only wish is that the seat was a bit more padded but I've solved that problem with an additional saddle seat cover.

Great saddle for the price!
I bought this saddle because my husband wanted to start riding with me at home. We rescued a bit of a hard to fit draft/walker cross for him. I really didn't want to spend a fortune on a saddle for someone who rides every now and again. This saddle fits my husband and the horse very well! When I ride his horse in this saddle I really like it too! Loved the 5 day trial on this saddle - we knew if fit without worrying about being out the money if it didn't. It's much more comfortable than I thought it would be for a synthetic.

This saddle fits my horse and I very well. I like the fact that it is lighter than my previous leather saddle too.
