Works
This collar works, but adjusting it takes time. I had to tighten it way more than i expected. to work it needs to be very snug, it will not rub, as it will not be moving. If it moves its too loose. I had to go 5 holes up on each side for a 16.2 h dutch warmblood. But she eats and sleeps fine. Took it off after several days of wearing and no rubbing and she is a very sensitive horse. But you have to be patient and observe your horse and tighten it up till it works. I always give my horse a treat when I put it on and when I take it off so that she waits.

This works!!
I found myself dealing with a cribber for the first time. He was doing a number on my wood fencing pretty quickly. I decided to go with this Dare collar as I liked that hopefully it wouldn’t need to be as tight as others, it’s padded, and only one strap. It works! I watched him closely the first day. There was twice I saw he did get his head up and teeth on the wood, but was not able to get his neck in position and suck wind. He pretty quickly gave up and I haven’t seen him try since! He seems pretty comfortable wearing it. Only 48 hours in, but so far no rubs.

It works!
I purchased this cribbing collar about a month ago. First time I have ever had a need in over 50 yes owning horses. I was concerned about whether or not it would work. Im happy to report this collar works very well and has stopped my horse from cribbing.

Comfortable collar
This is the only collar that has not rubbed the hair off my horse. He is much happier and comfortable in it than his previous two.

It Works!
I used it for my OTTB that started cribbing. He wore it constantly for a few months and now he doesn’t chew up the fence boards at all. I would buy a replacement fleece cover so you can wash and alternate them. It does rub out some hair, but it’s not very noticeable. Worth the price.

Great Cribbing Collar - Just Give It a Chance!
This is the only cribbing collar that has worked on my guy. I wasn't sure about it when I first put it on him but it's worked wonders. He's the master of destroying literally everything (5 year old mischief maker) but somehow this has survived for 9 months so far. I do have a few notes and tricks for those that are trying to decide what's best, that make also help clarify some reviews!
1. Like all leather, this takes a minute to break in. It didn't work for the first day or so but the leather then formed to my guy's neck and BAM! It started working perfectly.
2. This is quality leather so it WILL stretch. Just keep an eye on it and punch more holes if you need to.
3. It seems alarmingly tight because of the block but believe me, it's not. For my guy at least, I thought I had it tight but he'd flip the block to the top of his neck when playing. I tightened it up more and it didn't bother him a bit - it's comfortable and doesn't rub under his neck. I can't even take it off before he falls asleep with it.
4. It'll likely rub off some of their mane at the top but I'll take that over sucking in air any day
5. Bonus: All the other horses are super envious of his accessories. He looks fab.

Nice Quality Collar but Didn’t Help my Mare
High quality leather and strongly made. However since my mare is more of a wind sucker (will place top teeth on the stall bar and suck in air) than a true cribber, this doesn’t really stop her. It has rubbed her mane a little bit despite the sheepskin cover.

Wished this would have worked
The quality is great, but unfortunately it didn't stop my mare from cribbing. Back to the Miracle Collar.

Well made product.
Bought this collar at the suggestion of a barn friend to replace the one I was using. It is well made and I like that you can put it on from either side of the horse. My guy will crib no matter what he is wearing, but this seems to help.
