Durable Enough for Everyday Use!
My horse, Lucky, likes to get his shoes off in turnout. He seems to know when his blacksmith isn't in the area to tack it back on. The barn manager suggested that Lucky wear bell boots for turnout. I had tried other more expensive brands that were too stiff and left pretty bad rubs around his pasterns. I decided to go less expensive and try the SmartPak Classic Bell Boots. More expensive does not necessarily mean better. These are the best, cost-efficient bell boots for turnout! I bought 2 pairs, to have a backup, and no need for those backup pair after almost 8 months. They stay on and hold up well. The double velcro closures keep these bell boots securely in place, which is ideal for turnout and make them easy to put on and take off. There is no more searching in fields for missing bell boots! Additionally, they have a rolled collar around the pastern to prevent chafing and they don’t rub the bulb of the hoof.
These are the best bell boots! They hang on through mud/snow/you name it.

Decent for the price
Overall these are great and I’ve bought multiple. If I’m picky, I wish the XL was just a little larger for my half draft. The white color never last as long as black, must be something to do with rubber and coloring used.

Runs really small!!!
My TB has small ankles but ordered a large so they wouldn’t rub and I could barely get the Velcro to touch. 5 days later he had ripped them into pieces. These are horrible made

Rubs
My horse had a tendon injury in the pastern area and needs special corrective shoeing, but these rubbed raw the area right where the injury was.

Sturdy and durable
My mare has to wear bells on her fronts all the time.
Finding boots that are comfortable for her and give adequate protection can be difficult. These boots seem to be doing the job and appear sturdy enough to hold up for a while.

Run a bit small
Good material, but they run a bit small. Had to return for different size

not durable
My high stepping dutch harness horse trashed these in a record 2 weeks. He is notoriously hard on his bell boots, but these were by far the shortest lived.

Velcro seams busted
I have bought two pairs of these bell boots, and the same thing happened to both of them: The seam connecting the velcro to the rubber broke. The second pair broke on the first use. The rubber itself held up just fine.

Works well
I've had a couple pairs of these for years. They have lasted quite well. Typically only use them while working my horses. One is wearing a pair all the time very recently. No problems. They fit her well and I check her pasterns daily.

I bought two pairs of these bell boots, two different sizes and they both rubbed my horses ankles raw.
