So far, working out really well!
My horses come in for the day during the hottest summer months. My 14yo OTTB eventing mare (adult armature with a full time job going novice = fairly light work load for the horse) has seemed to "struggle" more this summer with stocking up while in during the day than in previous years. I bought a pair of these boots for her hind legs as an easier/hopefully slightly cooler alternative than putting her in standing wraps every day. So far I am really pleased with these and plan to buy a second pair for her front legs. Like in other reviews on this item... the pillow lining is a bit more fragile than I would like, the places where it comes into contact with the velcro are fraying a bit and my other complaint is the bottom strap is way too long (I use electrical tape to keep it down). BUT these do a great job of preventing my mare's legs from stocking up, and when I remove them, her legs are always cool to the touch so I feel confident that they aren't adding damaging heat! Overall I'm pleased with my purchase and just wish the bottom strap were a bit shorter. (My mare is 15.1h and I bought the 14" for her hind legs. I've been using them for about a month give or take)

Bamboo poly padding is fragile
Don't get me wrong - these wraps are wonderful! And they aren't as hot at the B on T brand. I just wish Smart Pak (and B on T brand) would be smarter about the placement of the velcro. Both brands have the prickly side of the velcro on the padding, rather than on the neoprene shell. This causes the padding to pill/pull/get holes that get worse every time the padding is washed. This Smart Pak brand with the bamboo poly padding cannot withstand the prickly velcro and after just two washes, the padding on my Smart Pak Quick Wraps already has holes and many pulls to the fragile bamboo fabric. I'm so frustrated! They would be perfect if only the soft side of the velcro was attached to the padding!!

Ordered the 16" for my geldings hind legs. I generally do not wrap because of heat retention but my gelding does tend to get fetlock swelling when confined in a stall or trailer. These look easy and quick to apply. He has large fetlock joints and is 17H. The wraps fit but barely. So I then, out of curiosity, tried them on my mare who is fine boned and 15.1H. They fit her just fine. Going to order the 14" for the occasions she does a 50 plus mile endurance ride and I need a wrap/poultice for afterwards. They should fit her front legs perfectly. Haven't used them yet but plan to on Sunday when I trailer my gelding and on July 4th when he spends the night in his stall due to fireworks.

I got these as I like the Back on Track quick wraps but they seem to be a bit too hot for my horse. He is prone to skin issues on his legs and I've found that the BOT products tend to make them worse, so wanted to try the bamboo wraps. I got the standing wraps and these quickwraps. He shipped from Aiken SC to Massachusetts in these and no issues. These seem nice and breathable. Haven't washed yet, but hoping they will hold up well for a long time!
