Great to encourage contact!
My young OTTB can be fussy and tosses his head to avoid contact. This bit has helped pacify his head tossing, providing a steady place to seek contact. He is happy to be on the bit with this mouth piece!

Excellent Alternative!
My gelding isn’t a big fan of tongue pressure, and we have tried dozens of tongue relief bits. He loves this one, even more than the $$$ lookalike from Bombers.

Bought this bit a little over 3 months ago, when focusing on my mares flat work. This bit worked wonders and she loves it! She jumps in a much stronger leverage bit, but wanted to give the mullen mouth a try and couldnt beat the price.
Although, I recently have had to stop using it, after only 3 months of riding in it 2-3 times a week because it has rusted and started to irritate the inside corners of my horses mouth after rides, and caused her to rub to the point of bleeding.

Magic Bit
This bit is amazing. I have a large thoroughbred mare who can be very strong for me (and I'm very small, so it was a big challenge as she'd pull me down). I tried all sorts of bits trying to find something that she liked, that I could actually ride her in, and that wasn't too strong or harsh as I don't care for harsh bits (especially on thoroughbreds). Previously the best bit we'd tried was a rubber mullen mouth pelham, but while that made life easier for me, she did not care for it very much. On a whim I bought this to try, and she loves it. And I love it because she's so lovely and ride-able in it. Somehow it's both super soft on her mouth yet it still gives me great brakes when I need it. It's so lovely to have finally found something that is perfect for both of us.

A nice bit.
So far so good. My horse who is a bit of a leaner, seems to like this bit. The small port works without being too much. I think my horse also like the sweet metal and seems to really accept this bit.

Just as good as a Bomber Bit!
I bought this bit a few months ago for a gelding that likes mullen mouth bits. He needed a bit more "oomf" and I thought the low port might help, as well as the D ring feature. I treied the loose ring version but found he needed more support. It worked and I saved 100s of dollars by using the Shire version.
