Great item to keep on hand!
I love keeping Gallagher's Water on hand at my barn! I originally purchased Gallagher's Water to pack for shows to help keep my horse hydrated, and encourage drinking. They are packaged individually, so they're extremely easy to pack! I also like having them on hand at the barn for extremely hot weather or in the winter when horses aren't drinking as much. My horse initially took some coaxing before he would try it and sometimes still tries to be a picky drinker, but I keep these on hand to help entice him. Every other horse in my barn drinks water with Gallagher’s Water in it eagerly! It's definitely becoming a staple to have on hand throughout the barn!

My Horse Can’t Get Enough!
My horse, Warren, has notoriously been not the best water drinker. I remember when we first bought him, his previous owner told me there were two main things that I would have to look out for with him. The first was that he is such a hard worker, he would gladly push himself out cross-country or on a conditioning ride until he fell over, so I always would have to make sure I looked out for him when he started to get tired and never over-rode him. The second was that he has never been great at drinking lots of water, so he always needs to be on an electrolyte, and I would always need to keep an eye out to make sure he is staying hydrated. Over the years, I have definitely figured out the balance of what works for both these issues, but when I discovered Gallagher’s Water, it completely changed the game. I wish I had the product years ago when I was eventing him regularly, but even now after we have a strenuous fox hunt or something like that, I am so glad to have a product that he is in LOVE with. Every time I give him a bucket full of water with this product in it, he not only slurps it down so excitedly, but clearly enjoys it and plays around, splashing the water and enjoying himself. Not only is it one of the cutest things to watch, but it gives me such a relieving peace of mind that he is happily and healthily rehydrating himself.

Very Impressed
Heard about this product from a vet and bought to try to insure water intake for unusually cold period in Texas. All 3 horses drank the entire 2 gallons when first served. Initially I mixed 1 packet with 5 gallons and didn’t have the same results. Use as directed was my take away.

MAGIC!
This stuff is MAGIC. I was still skeptical even after seeing these reviews because my horse is THAT picky. Even after a solid workout in Texas heat, he will refuse any water I offer him in the barn and only drink when I turn him out. As soon as he first tasted this stuff, he was hooked. He gulps down the entire 2 gallons every single time.

My horses LOVED this
I have two horses who are pretty good drinkers, but I always worry in the summer that while I'm making sure to drink my electrolytes, they're just not getting enough with how much we're sweating. After learning about Gallagher's Water, I decided to give it a try. When you fill the bucket with water after pouring the powder in, it becomes very foamy, which my OTTB LOVED. He was smitten with it. The first day we tried it, he really just wanted to eat the foam. But the next time we tried it, I had already put him back in his field and he was trying to get through the fence to the bucket to drink it.
It makes me feel so much better to know I have a good option to ensure both of my horses will drink water after working up a good sweat, and they'll be hydrated with balanced electrolytes.

Picky Mare Approved!
I received a sample pack of Gallagher's Water after hearing rave reviews about it, but fully expecting it to be snubbed entirely by my ultra picky mare. I was shocked and delighted when she happily drank down the entire two gallons of water + Gallagher's Water electrolyte mix after an initially skeptical sniff! She is a black horse who lives out 24/7 and like much of the country, is dealing with the intense heat we've been experiencing in New England. It is a huge relief to know that not only can I easily get some extra water into her this way, but that I'm also replenishing her body with key nutrients lost in sweat. I'll definitely be buying more to have on hand for generally hot days, travel, post-workout recovery, etc.!

Best thing ever!
My horse absolutely loves his Gallagher's Water! He will stand by his stall door after his workouts waiting for his bucket of GW. Not only do I use this after workouts in the hotter months, I also use it while traveling, at shoes, and in the winter (using warm water). It's getting electrolytes into your horse's but more importantly it gets 2 gallons of water into your horse's system which, honestly if the end goal of electrolytes right?!
