Constructed from a strong 1200D polyester outer, this waterproof and breathable blanket features fiberfill for added warmth while maintaining comfort in changing weather conditions. The 210T shine-enhancing, anti-static, anti-bacterial polyester lining supports coat health by reducing friction, preventing rubbing, and minimizing bacterial growth.
Designed for security and ease of movement, this blanket includes a V-Front Closure to reduce pressure on the shoulders, front leg arches for enhanced mobility, and three crossed surcingles for a secure and comfortable fit. A waterproof tail flap and PVC wipe-clean tail cord provide additional protection against the elements.

Horseware quality declines
The tail strap attachment ripped off within 3 weeks of first use. One minute it was fine, the horse had a perfectly normal roll, and then it was dangling. Horseware blankets have been my go-to since the 1990s, and I have some that are 10+ years old and still useable. In the past few years I’ve heard of a lot of quality issues though (mostly waterproofing but also weird sizing). Unfortunately I’m thinking I will have to try some different brands going forward. It’s unacceptable to have such weak stitching on a horse product that it fails almost immediately with normal use.

Not waterproof
It is not waterproof, at least in the Pacific Northwest, and I have two. Tried getting them waterproofed by the blanket cleaners with no luck. They soak right through.

Great quality, pale color in case sun shines
Light color option for southern or sunny climates - Yay!
On the rare occasions when our turned-out horses need sheets or blankets, we hasten to remove them round dawn because, if the sun breaks through the clouds, darker-colored turnouts rapidly become HOT. Seeking more light-colored fabrics for the sourthern tier, and this is one of a few. The only downside is 1) buckles while wearing gloves or 2) taking the time to accustom your horses to donning and doffing the rug with the chest buckles closed (like a close-front turnout rug)

I purchased this medium for the winter season. However, after just one week of being on my horse, it has already torn. I wouldn't recommend it due to the poor quality of the fabric.

Just right!!
Going on the 3rd season with this rain jacket, here in rainy Pacific Northwest, and couldn’t ask for more with this awesome rain sheet. High quality, excellent coverage, and the liner inside allows for trapping some heat…as apposed to a single layer rain sheet which if a little cold out, could make the horse cold. I’ll order exact one again when need too!! Fits my Polish Arabian mare perfectly.

Poor quality
I bought the medium excalibur color for my horse and while it fits well ( a bit snug actually), it is constantly damp inside. Even when I hang it out to dry inside the warm tack room it never full dries out. My horse is outside 24/7 with a shelter and its important that he is dry and warm. The hardware is also rusting and I have only had it a couple of months.

Hardy blanket still waterproof after years
I bought this blanket in 2016. It was the sole winter blanket for my 2016 mare, then was stored a couple of years until it was the sole winter blanket for a recip mare for 2 years, then stored a year, and now it's back on a growing baby. In between full winter seasons of use, it serves double duty as the "back-up" blanket for my gelding. It gets one machine wash a year before I put it away for the spring. AND IT IS STILL WATERPROOF. It is still the easiest blanket to use with the lack of complicated velcro/buckle/snap closures. It is the most versatile as I've picked up the odd liner and hood for it over the years. Simply a robust, amazing product.

Built to Last
I have the discontinued 100gm Purple w/ Navy & Aqua with the neck cover, this has lasted me since the start of 2019 and it is still going strong. It fits my delicate 14'2" Arabian Gypsy like a glove. Still keeping the decent amount of rain we get out and her warm. Think I need to buy one for my Peruvian. I have been using Amigo for years and it has always fit my delicate small horses well.
