New Kibble Regimen
Transitioning from SmartPak Canine to this kibble brand for our 10-year-old terrier, Della Mae, over 2 weeks was a smart move, as she has a somewhat sensitive digestive system. After a couple of days of soft poo, she is on the right track. Since she’s a natural foodie, there no problem with her chowing down on this brand. Of course, the SmartPaks are convenient and sanitary!!

Great Food with lots of added Extras for Seniors
I love that this food offers different supplements to support joint and other health concerns senior dogs often face. I feed this to our 8 year old adopted Treeing Walker Coonhound and she absolutely loved it... until she got the taste of the younger pup's Core Wellness food. Since this food helps them maintain a weight at an older age it's essentially diet food that even looks more bland than the other 2 dogs' food. I've just been adding a little plain greek yogurt to get her back to being excited for it. Other than that, as I stated in other reviews the price for the quality of food is incomparable especially since the Portion Packs make it super easy for any one to feed the dogs or for traveling. Plus I don't have to worry about running out or trying to make it to a store that has our food since the Autoship comes in plenty of time!

Wellness Super5Mix® Just for Seniors
I think the quality of this dog food is very good. However, my dogs did not seem to like the flavor. I have tried all the Wellness Super5Mix foods. They seem to like the chicken (purple bag) the best. They did not seem to like the Senior food or the fish (blue bag) flavor. They seem to like the lamb and rice (green bag) OK. I have seven Standard Poodles boys (age range 3-8) and a Blue Tick Hound /Dalmatian mix girl (age 14). They get a lot of exercise and really like to eat when it's time. I buy multiple flavors just to give them some variety. I found that I had to drizzle olive oil on the Senior food to get them to eat it.

Dog is back!
Amani was depressed and just not happy. I have put him on this food and now he is happy, gaining weight and doesn't have the runs anymore. I wish I had done this sooner!
He is also on the supplement below.

Great Food For Picky Eaters
This is a great food for picky dogs!!! My dog has corn allergies and is very particular about what she will eat. She loves this food. It is the only food I have been able to consistantly feed her without her turning her nose to it suddenly!!!
Smartpaks make feeding this feed much more ecconomical and saves me time. As a vet student I don't have time to worry about which pet store has this food in stock or if I am running low!!! With Smartpaks there is no worry!!

Good Stuff
My 12 yr old Golden Mix is an extremely picky eater and also a sporadic one. He likes variety and this is one of my staples that I swap. Good quality ingredients, palatable, low protein. Very quality dog food. Only reason it didn't get 5 stars is that it is very spendy.

Perfect!!
I love Wellness Formula in general because they never include any of the ingredients that could contain euthanized dogs, cats and horses. (When the protein source isn't specified- like "Animal Protein", "Animal Fat" "Bone Meal" etc.). But beyond that- this formula doesn't give my boxer mix any gas, and THAT is saying something!! He's afflicted with a senior and boxer tummy combo and this food is easy to digest and keeps him shiny and slick. He loves it and eats every bite.

Senior Formula Tastes Bad
My two aged (14+) large dogs ate the samples without issue. Unfortunately, after a week, both went several days without eating a crumb of their kibble. (They survived by stealing leftovers from younger dogs' bowls). Both dropped noticeable pounds.
These events were separated by a couple of months, so I doubt it was a bad batch, etc.
In both cases, I had great success with AvoDerm - check out their web site. Cheaper, and very comparable in ingredients.
