Helps maintain healthy joint tissue

In healthy joints, the ends of the bones are coated with a thin layer of friction-reducing tissue known as articular cartilage. The articular cartilage contains synovial fluid, a thick liquid that serves two primary functions: (1) as a source of nutrients for the articular cartilage and (2) as a lubricant and shock absorber for the bones that form a joint. Joint discomfort can result when damage occurs to any joint tissue, whether it involves the bones, articular cartilages, or synovial membranes.

Research has shown that when used in combination, hyaluronic acid, chondroitin sulfate, glucosamine, and manganese sulfate support cartilage structure and optimal joint function. Joint Armor’s complete formula provides your horse with the nutrients necessary to support both joint cartilage and synovial fluid. It includes high levels of both glucosamine and chondroitin, plus 100 mg of hyaluronic acid.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Tx Jayne from No AERC banned ingredients I love that this doesn't have any AERC prohibited ingredients so I can give it to my endurance horse, who definitely needs the support with our rides. Even though my gelding normally sifts out and leaves anything that's not a pellet and will definitely turn his nose up at some things, this stuff is a true powder (rather than granules) which makes it very easy to for it to stick to anything/everything else in his bucket. Pleasant vanilla-ish smell. I don't think my guy would exactly lick the pan clean just because this stuff is in there, but definitely not offensive to him at all and it's a small amount so it's easy to mix in.

I currently use this on my 5 yr old gelding, but have used on my teenage and 7 yr old geldings in the past too. I like that it's good, solid joint support, reasonable price, and very little powder. Powder smells like vanilla too!
