Stopped the cough, but horses are allergic
I rarely write reviews, but I was compelled to review this one. While it worked great to stop two of my horses coughing, they were both allergic to something in it. I have 4 horses in the herd, two were on Freeway Gold, two were not. The coughing stopped within an week, I was very encouraged. Then the gelding's legs blew up dramatically. I did not think of the Freeway Gold immediately, but after another day and bute/wrapping, I thought it could be so I stopped it and contacted the company. They said they did not typically see this, but something in it "did not suit him". I discontinued, and after 5 days of bute/wrapping/light movement, his stocking up resolved. My mare seemed to be fine on the Freeway Gold, so I continued. After two weeks of Freeway Gold, she, too, blew up dramatically. Hers is taking longer to resolve. I am very disappointed since it did resolve their coughs, but something in there was a big problem for them. Note, the other two in the herd have had no issues and live the exact same lifestyle/feed. The only difference was the Freeway Gold. And the stocking up resolved after discontinuing. Just thought I would share unless this happens to anyone else. Also - I have both now on SmartBreathe, and that seems to be helping with the cough.

I believe it really has helped
I bought this in April and I feed our mare approx. 20 mg twice a day. She has been diagnosed with COPD and I believe this liquid has really reduced her coughing. Waiting on another supply today.

Works for those mild exercise induced coughs!
My old guy at 23 is still competing in Dressage but he requires a bit more management—his lungs are much more sensitive to dust and particles than he used to be. He frequently has a couple coughs during warm up but I can still hear it in his breaths. I started him on this supplement about 4 days ago and he didn’t cough at all today! We have to be careful because of the presence of the licorice root—-the active chemical is on the banned substance list—but it’s a great supplement!

Wish it worked
My horses have allergies. Unfortunately giving two of my horses this made them have other allergy symptoms;-( So I have to say that it doesn't work for my horses.

Seems to be working
It's not unusual for my horse to have allergic reactions to just about anything. So I took my time introducing this into his diet. He had no problems and has been on Freeway Gold for approx 3 weeks. His coughing has definitely improved but is still present. My vet told me that she is having a lot of problems with allergies this year so I think it's reasonable that the cough has decreased significantly but is still present.

It Worked for My Horse!
I bought Freeway about two months ago. My horse coughs about 10-20 times when I warm him up, and sometimes he coughs in his paddock. When his grass hay is taken away, he coughs less, but still coughs. After 3 days on Freeway, I noticed a big improvement! He still coughed a bit, but nowhere near as much. I have even been able to reinstate his grass hay, and he's barely coughing. Great product!

May work for some
I administered this to my horse for 2 months with not a lot of results. He has seasonal AND constant year round allergies to dust, mold ect. He has a cough with light mucas when exposed to allergines. I dust down his hay/stall any place I can. I just started administering "shake no more" by Hilton herbs and he is so happy! Freeway Gold could be a good product for seasonal allergies but my boy needs a stronger tonic which "shake no more" has provided! Hilton herbs is amazing and I'm glad I found the right product for Greg!

Great product!
I bought this product in the Spring- my 23 year old Quarter horse started showing signs of allergies for the first time. It took a few weeks for me to see a difference- but once it kicked in I saw a huge change in his breathing...I was able to stop the other drug he was on.
