Product Overview

Replaces Electrolytes Lost Through Sweat During Exercise, Extreme Weather or Stress

Electrolyte supplementation is often thought of as only needed by performance horses—however, all horses that sweat for an extended time, whether from exercise, weather, or stress, can benefit from Farnam Apple Elite Electrolyte Powder Apple Flavor Horse Supplement. When horses sweat, it results in a loss of water, sodium chloride, potassium, calcium, and magnesium. If these minerals are not replenished, it could result in fatigue, muscle weakness, reduced feed and water intake, and reduced sweating, which can lead to overheating. Apple Elite Electrolyte Powder replaces vital minerals that are depleted through sweat during exercise, extreme hot and cold weather, and stressful situations. This balanced electrolyte formula is an excellent means to encourage healthy water consumption to keep horses hydrated year-round. Ideal for horses of all classes and workloads, it can help maintain fluid balance and support proper digestion, muscle function, and recovery. The palatable, apple-flavored powder is great for daily use; just mix in with your horse’s regular grain ration.

Helps maintain optimal hydration with a powder that encourages healthy water consumption year round
The apple flavor is ideal for daily use & for picky eaters or horses that sort powdered supplements

Rated 4 out of 5 by lorih from This product really encourages drinking, especially in those cold winter months when the horses are apt to slow down their consumption of water.

Rated 5 out of 5 by CBCB from Horses love it! I love Apple Elite and so does my horse! I use it during the summer when it's hot or during competitions. He has no problem eating it straight or mixing it with his supplements. I would definately recommend it to anyone looking for a great quality electrolyte. I haven't tried the other flavors but hear they are appealing to horses as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Madeline from My Favorite Electrolyte Supplement I love Apple Elite! My horse loves the taste and I love all of the health benefits he's getting. I use electrolytes during the summer, times of increased stress (i.e. shipping/showing) and also during cold spells to ensure good water intake and electrolyte balance. I always have a bucket in my tack trunk!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Horsegal from Perfect! The Apple Elite Electrolytes are great! My Appendix Gelding, Noah, loves them! They are affordable and they do what they are supposed to. He loves them and since I live in hot, dry heat of Arizona, electrolytes are a must! Great product! Im going to continue buying this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by eventer from The best! I have used this product for 10 years to keep my upper level event horses hydrated. Since I live in the desert, it is used daily most of the year and I have never had an issue with dehydration, even after shows in 95+ degree heat. The apple flavor is good, but I wish they carried orange as the horses will eat orange from my hand.

I put it in their feed or water right after a show, and they love the apple flavor! I just wish that SmartPak carried cherry and orange flavors too!
