The Wintec Isabell was developed in consultation with World Dressage Champion Isabell Werth, and is the exact saddle she rides in today. Sink into her perfectly crafted, ultra-deep and grippy seat, and feel perfectly balanced and poised to focus on your aids. Your position is then able to be fine-tuned by moving the stirrup bar for your optimal comfort. Communication with your horse will be effortless as Isabell’s high performance design enables your leg to easily find a natural groove for easy contact. Prefer this saddle to my Schleese
Bought this saddle to replace an 18" JES Advanced Schleese that I had bought used and the Schleese folks were unable to fit to my horse (disappointing, given the price of the saddle and the price of the fitting!). I got the 17.5" and to me, it rides very similar and I find it as comfy as the Schleese. I love the adjustability of the saddle and the fact that I can make the the changes myself as needed. I've been so pleased that with it that I recently bought another Wintec (used) for my kids. Happily, that one came with the complete gullet adjustment system which was very handy for both saddles. It's been on my to-do list to schedule a fitting, but since I had the tools, I measured my horse (15.3 lusitano) and realized she needed a wider gullet. I ordered that and just did the switch myself...took me one YouTube video and less than 10 minutes to make the change. Ideally, I'd say try to borrow the gullet measurement tool since it only takes minutes and then you can order the gullet size you need for about $30 (I now have a collection of narrow gullets I'll probably never use). If you can't find a loaner measuring tool, then I definitely think it's worth ordering the gullet fit system too (about $100)....if you're going to spend this much on a saddle, you might as well make sure you can maintain the fit.
I wasn't sure about the suede, but I figured with the SmartPak trial, I'd give it a go. I actually really like the suede. I don't personally find it too "sticky", but I could see where it's a personal preference thing. Just a quick wipe (and a toothbrush to dust out the tight spots) works well.
The saddle does have an overgirth which was new to me. I'm not sure it's doing a whole lot and it is a little obnoxious when I'm carrying my saddle. I have read others have simply cut it off, so that'd be an option if it irritates you.

Had High Hopes but...
Am in saddle search mode for a new horse as he builds topline. Have purchased many high end saddles in the past but thought this might be a good solve until i really figure out what he needs. Fist, I have to say that for the money this saddle has many interesting features that you won't get on some of the most expensive brand names ie Adjustable stirrup bars. I was pleasantly suprised by the feel of the CAIR panels, they are
very supportive but soft and can also be adjusted as needed. Don't love the "suede" material but it's not terrible. My struggle and the reason for 3 stars is the way the saddle rides. For me, it was far too wide in the twist and the seat. There was too much width and bulk under my upper leg. Felt very disconnected from the horse which was disappointing. Can't wrap my head around the design amd found it very uncomfortable. The saddle itself is well made, interesting with all of it'ts adjustability but for me the flaw is in the feel of the seat.

Great Value
I ordered my horse a custom made saddle in January of this year and waited 9 months for it to come in and not fit either of us. I was fairly devastated, but this saddle fit us both perfectly. I feel so balanced and quiet with my seat in this saddle. I did the test ride through Smartpak, but I decided to go with a 16.5 which unfortunately Smartpak does not carry, so I had to buy through dover. This was my first time trying the test ride program through Smartpak, and as always the customer service was top notch.

Comfortable for horse and rider
This saddle has features I need: balanced from pommel to cantle, stability and close contact with the panel strap, narrow twist for comfortable seat, and the HART package.

Beautiful Saddle
This appeared to be a well made saddle. I have a Wintec Australian Stock saddle that I just love. However, this saddle did not have a narrow enough twist so was uncomfortable for me. With the wide gullet piece installed, it did fit my horse nicely. I had to return it though because of the bad fit for me.

Loved It
The Isabel was well made, comfortable padding for both horse and rider, panels conform easily to well sprung ribs, fit the horse and me, good balance. A nice choice for a not overly broad stock horse that still has a slight downhill slant to the spine. Synthetic materials wipe down nicely after a ride.

One of the best saddles!
Some time ago I purchased the Wintec saddle, it is one of the best I have ever had. My Dutch Warmblood from 5 years old loves the saddle asi it forms, fit so nicely around her body with NO NO pinching. He is a burst of sunshine under the saddle.
Go for it, you will love it!
